Learn Models NR7 Compression Range

NR7 Compression Range

The narrowest completed range of the latest seven reference candles — compression context for 22N, not a signal by itself.

NR7 identifies a completed reference candle whose high-to-low range is narrower than each of the six completed candles before it. The frozen high and low describe compression and give the later sweep/return sequence an objective range.

Because the comparison is causal, the reference candle must be closed and all seven members must be present. A later bar cannot be used to relabel an earlier candle or improve the pattern.

In the SniperCharts 22N interpretation, NR7 supplies context. Bias, liquidity interaction, displacement, structure and the profile-authorized retracement still have to complete.

SniperCharts interpretation

This is an active SniperCharts interpretation of the reviewed Talaria Trade material, implemented as deterministic research logic. It is not an official Talaria Trade indicator or strategy, and no pattern or historical result guarantees future performance.

Context

  • The model combines an ICT 2022-style liquidity, displacement and retracement sequence with a causally confirmed NR7 reference range.
  • NR7 means the narrowest range of the latest seven completed reference candles; it is compression context, not a direction or a standalone signal.
  • Contextual FVGs and operations/WICK/CSD evidence qualify the reaction only when they align with bias, range state and the active profile.

Sequence

  1. Confirm the closed NR7 reference candle and freeze its high/low range without using future bars.
  2. Observe the profile-required sweep/return, displacement and structure evidence around that range in the resolved bias direction.
  3. Enter only on the authorized retracement or confirmation after the sequence is complete.

Invalidation

  • Cancel on the profile-owned structural stop, conflicting range acceptance, expiry, bias conflict or loss of authenticated data/schedule eligibility.

Target

  • Use the next valid opposing liquidity or structural objective; fixed R is a visibly labeled profile fallback only when no structural target exists.

No-trade conditions

  • An NR7 candle alone is never a trade. Reject incomplete sweeps, unconfirmed returns, late entries and isolated FVG/WICK/CSD evidence.
  • Stand down when the reference candle is not closed, the seven-candle comparison is incomplete, or required timeframes disagree.
  • If structural targets exist but fail direction or minimum-R checks, suppress the setup; do not substitute a fixed-R fallback.

How to trade it

  • Compare seven completed candles on the model’s registered reference timeframe and freeze the narrowest current range.
  • Wait for the authorized sweep/return and displacement sequence around that range.
  • Use the active 22N profile for confirmation, invalidation and structural target selection.

Pitfalls

  • Trading simply because an NR7 candle printed — compression does not choose a direction.
  • Including an open candle or comparing fewer than seven complete ranges.
  • Ignoring missing reference-timeframe bars, schedule gaps or conflicting higher-timeframe bias.
