WICK — Wick Behind Displacement
A prominent candle wick sitting immediately behind a forceful displacement move marks an area of interest — not an automatic entry. A lower wick behind bullish displacement may act as support on the return; an upper wick behind bearish displacement as resistance. Wait for price to come back, demand confirmation and directional intent at the level, and treat a decisive trade through the wick tip as invalidation — a failed level may invert, but only take the inversion when it agrees with the higher-timeframe direction.

Required
Every box checks or there is no trade
- Directional bias established FIRST — the wick locates the trade, it does not pick the direction
- Wick is prominent — a clearly visible tail, not a barely-there stub on a doji
- Real displacement leaves the wick — strong bodies, clear intent, no hesitation at the level
- Zone marked in advance (wick tip to body edge) — no hindsight redrawing
- Wait for the RETURN — a level price never revisits is a no-trade, and that is normal
- Confirmation at the level before entry (CISD, structure break, inversion, SMT) — a touch is not a trigger
- Sensible timeframe pairing (weekly→4h/1h, daily→1h/15m, 4h→15m/5m) — no daily level, 1-minute entry
- Stop beyond the wick tip with breathing room; size the position to the stop, not the stop to the size
- Conservative targets when the wick stands alone — 1R to 2R; extended targets need HTF alignment
Optional confluence
Not mandatory — each one adds weight
- Trade during active sessions (roughly 02:00–15:00 NY) — late Friday and thin hours degrade the level
- A failed level may INVERT — but only take the inversion when it restores HTF alignment
Warnings
If one of these fires, stand down
- Price closes decisively through the wick tip — the level is dead, stop looking in that direction
- Choppy, directionless conditions — wicks appear everywhere and mean nothing; stand down

Risk a fixed fraction (0.25–1%)
Small fixed risk per trade makes losing streaks survivable and keeps your judgement clean. Ten losses at 0.5% is a bruise; at 5% it's the account.
