Contextual Fair Value Gap
An imbalance used as contextual evidence inside a qualified model — never a standalone direction, toggle or trade.
A contextual FVG is the familiar three-candle imbalance filtered through the parent model. Its direction, size, location and time of formation must agree with a structure that already has an eligible bias and causal sequence.
This prevents the workstation from treating every visible gap as equivalent. The same geometry can be useful evidence at a QM retest or NR7 sequence and meaningless in unsupported chop.
The parent model owns entry, invalidation and target selection. The FVG contributes evidence only; it does not manufacture a trade.
SniperCharts interpretation
This is an active SniperCharts interpretation of the reviewed Talaria Trade material, implemented as deterministic research logic. It is not an official Talaria Trade indicator or strategy, and no pattern or historical result guarantees future performance.
Context
- An FVG is considered only inside an eligible model sequence, with displacement, range location, bias and operations context already established.
Sequence
- Identify a causally confirmed imbalance, qualify it against the active model and wait for the model-owned reaction or retracement.
Invalidation
- A body acceptance through the profile-defined zone or invalidation of the parent model removes the evidence.
Target
- The parent model selects the target; the FVG does not create an independent target or trade.
No-trade conditions
- Never trade an isolated gap solely because it is visible, and do not infer a direction from an FVG without its parent context.
How to trade it
- Start with the parent QM, QMF or 22N sequence, then ask whether the FVG was created by qualifying displacement.
- Check range location, directional bias and operations context before using a reaction at the gap.
- Let the parent model and active profile decide whether a retracement is actionable.
Pitfalls
- Scanning for gaps first and inventing a narrative around whichever one price touches.
- Assuming a gap supplies its own stop, target or directional bias.
- Calling a wick overlap or unclosed three-candle sequence a confirmed FVG.
